Klaudia Majcher is an Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) in the Research Group on Competition and Digitalization, a Post-Doc Felow at the Competition Law Hub and a Senior Associate Researcher at the Free University of Brussels (VUB). Her research focuses on digital competition law, green competition law, digital regulation, as well as interactions between competition law and other legal areas, including data protection. Her book titled ‘Coherence Between Competition Law and Data Protection in Digital Markets’ was published by Oxford University Press in 2023.
Between 2018 and 2020, Klaudia worked as a Digital Policy Analyst at the European Political Strategy Centre, the Brussels-based in-house think-tank of the President of the European Commission. In this capacity, she was responsible for providing advice on EU’s digital policies related in particular to competition in online markets, data initiatives, and Artificial Intelligence. Klaudia obtained her doctoral degree at the VUB, where in September 2020 she defended her dissertation on the interactions between competition law and data protection in digital markets. She conducted parts of her research as a Visiting Researcher at the Fordham Law School in New York and at the European University Institute in Florence. Since 2014, she has thought a number of courses and lectures on competition law and digital regulation at the VUB, WU, Vienna Diplomatic Academy and the College of Europe (Brugge).
