Mary Walters has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Texas, Dallas, Texas, for 14 years. Her practice focuses on white collar crimes such as investment frauds, tax frauds, cyber schemes, and money-laundering. She has handled multi-defendant, multi-agency prosecutions, including those involving cross-border transactions, parallel civil proceedings with court-appointed receivers, and complex financial analyses such as seizures of cryptocurrencies. She serves as the Procurement Collusion Strike Force Coordinator for the Northern District of Texas.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Dallas, she spent four years as a Trial Attorney at DOJ’s Antitrust Division, Networks and Technology Section, where she worked on civil merger and conduct matters. For approximately 18 months of her time as a Trial Attorney, she was detailed to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Before joining DOJ, Ms. Walters was an associate at Clifford Chance and Howrey LLP.
Ms. Walters earned a law degree from the University of Texas as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in economics from Texas A&M University.
