Since November 2021, Burcu has been leading the Compliance & Regulatory department of Kia’s European Headquarters in Frankfurt. Burcu started her career as a case handler at the Turkish Competition Authority and worked at top international and Turkish law firms in Brussels and Istanbul. In late 2020, she started her own law firm in Istanbul and advised global clients on competition law, data protection and digital market regulations. Burcu has published extensively on competition law and digital markets and contributed to various international work products including those of OECD, ICN and World Economic Forum. Burcu is a regular speaker at competition law and compliance conferences and degree programs at universities. Burcu holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School and is admitted to the bars of New York and Istanbul.
