Hiba Tahboub is a Practice Manager of Procurement Team of Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank with 22 years of professional experience. She is located in Washington DC and leads a group of 30 procurement professionals working in 25 client countries in Europe and Central Asia. Ms. Tahboub joined the Bank in 1996 as a Water and Sanitation Engineer in Middle East & North Africa (MNA) region. Then she moved to the Bank Procurement Policy Unit as a Lead procurement specialist working on policy formulation and interpretation, focusing on the policy of Results Based Financing, as well as the policy on fragile and post- conflict countries. She also led the dialogue between the Bank and UN agencies on fiduciary requirements for under World Bank projects. Ms. Tahboub has a Masters degree in Water Resources from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK and Advanced post-graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from TU Delft-The Netherlands.
