Charlotte has advised clients in the Life Sciences sector for more than 15 years and has a solid reputation across Life Sciences both as an individual and as part of an award-winning team that has an outstanding track record of success in patent and SPC cases before both the UK courts (including the House of Lords as it then was) and the CJEU.
Charlotte is fluent in the commercial aspects and aims of pharmaceutical businesses and is commended for being “very good at considering the sector” and “providing advice that is relevant”. The common thread across her work is innovation to achieve a commercial edge for her clients and, critically, to keep the opponents guessing.
She recently led the Pinsent Masons’ teams in the Atripla SPC and tadalafil patent litigations for Teva. She also acted for Actavis in the UK Court's reference to the CJEU regarding combination SPCs in Actavis v Sanofi.
Charlotte was named in Legal 500 2017 as being “fantastic with clients” and having “superb judgment”. She is listed in this year’s IAM Patent 1000 as one of the World’s Leading Patent Professionals; they note “She is an excellent, incredibly thorough lawyer, who is great to work with”.
In 2009, Charlotte co-founded IPSoc, the society for junior IP practitioners, a well-respected group which brings together practitioners from all areas of IP to enhance their educational and social development objectives.
