How to get there:

The closest airport to Cambridge is Stansted Airport which is only a thirty-minute bus or train journey away.

You can get to Cambridge from London by rail and trains regularly from both Liverpool Street and King's Cross stations (every 15 minutes at peak times). The journey takes from 45 to 90 minutes dependent on the train.

Regular buses to Cambridge's Drummer Street bus station depart every hour from all major airports, as well as National Express coaches to and from all major cities in Britain.

On Arrival:

When you arrive on Monday morning, please go to the Porter’s Lodge on 5 West Road (Harvey Court Campus). You will receive directions to the bedrooms, breakfast area and conference room. The conference centre (and accommodation block) is called the Stephen Hawking Building. 

If you arrive earlier, your room key can be collected from 2pm on the day of your arrival from the Porter's Lodge.

Registration & KNect365 Team:

The registration desk can be found in the Stephen Hawking Building. It will be signposted onsite on your arrival. You will receive your badge and documentation at KNect365's registration desk. Your badge should be worn at all times.

Our team will be staffing the desk throughout the week during conference hours so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! 

Dress Code:

Most delegates wear smart casual for the week (please check the forecast as it can get quite chilly in the evenings in September, especially when we're punting!) 

We encourage formal wear/black tie for the gala dinner on Wednesday evening but this is not a requirement. 

Dietary/Accessibility Requirements:

The college can cater for any dietary requirements, but please let our team know in advance of arrival.

Delegates will be provided with a doc pack at the start of the week containing the speaker presentations and reading that have been received in advance of the event. 

Presentations are also made available 5 working days after the event online. 

Facilities & Location:

Please note that the college bar at Harvey Court is CASH ONLY. 

The conference site is a 10-minute walk from the city centre. It is also located next to the Cambridge University Law Faculty and within a short walking distance of the Cambridge University Library, and faculties of English, History, Music, Economics, and Modern Languages. 


The 5-day summer school (Mon-Fri) package includes four nights' accommodation (Monday to Thursday night), all meals and evening activities. Drinks at the college bar are not included.

The 4-day summer school (Tues-Fri) package includes three nights' accommodation (Tuesday to Thursday night), all meals and evening activities. Drinks at the college bar are not included.

The Fundamentals Day package includes lunch and refreshments. No accommodation or evening activities are included.
