Paul Martinet is the Legal Advisor to the Director of the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). Before joining the Agency, he worked for eight years as a principal legal advisor at the Belgian regulator CREG. At CREG, he worked both on electricity and gas cases. He was closely involved in the regional initiatives and the electricity market coupling projects, and was seconded as national expert to the Gaz de France/Suez case team of DG Comp. Prior to CREG, he did an internship at the cabinet of then Competition Commissioner Karel Van Miert, and worked for four years in the competition law department of the international law firm Linklaters.
