Hartmut Seibel was Legal Counsel for the European Payments Council and - together with one colleague - handled all its legal matters. Previously, he was General Counsel (Europe, Middle-East & Africa) for Honeywell Specialty Materials and chair of the supervisory board of several Honeywell operating entities in Germany and in Belgium. Until 2001 Hartmut was Vice President Regulatory Affairs of Global Telesystems Group Inc (GTS) and Ebone, the entity operatoring the most extensive pan-European telecommunications network at the time.
After a traineeship with the European Commission in 1990 Hartmut has been in private practice and advised in various areas of European law including competition law since 1991. He has been a member of the Duesseldorf (Germany) Bar since 1989. He studied law in Goettingen, Germany.
