Robin Pickworth is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. His practice focuses on large complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Robin has particular experience advocating in significant, high-value and high-stakes international fraud and private client disputes for a diverse range of clients, including corporations, sovereign states, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals. He has experience working with clients in numerous industries, including banking, pharmaceutical, energy, natural resources and public sectors. He has handled several multibillion-pound disputes involving financial services, company shareholders, property and international commodities, usually in the Commercial Court, as well as claims involving sovereign wealth funds and governments. His cases routinely involve worldwide freezing injunctions.

Robin has worked on many notable disputes over the last decade, including winning one of the largest ever judgments involving a financial derivative product in the Gulf Region (worth over $700 million). Robin has also been seconded to a private equity house.

Robin has acted across insolvency issues, including as an external administrator of a foreign bank in a multibillion-dollar alleged fraudulent scheme, which involved multijurisdictional litigation over several years.

His private client experience includes a multibillion-dollar offshore trust dispute and advising on asset protection strategies. Robin often acts for high-net-worth individuals, and his experience ranges from defending an alleged multimillion-pound unpaid gambling debt in the Commercial Court, to various ultra-high-value auction disputes.

Robin regularly sits as an arbitrator and his experience includes an ultra-high value professional negligence dispute in the accountancy industry.

Robin has particular experience acting on and managing cross-border disputes relating to the Middle East and Africa, as well as other jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Robin was a partner and head of the U.K. Civil Fraud practice at Armstrong Teasdale, which merged with his previous firm Kerman & Co. in early 2021. Before that, he worked for two high-profile metropolitan law practices.
