Adrian Jack was born and largely brought up in Sydney, Australia. After studying law at Oxford, he was called to the English bar in 1986 (bencher 2016) and the New South Wales bar in 1993. He initially practised in common law chambers in the Temple, but subsequently moved to Chancery/commercial chambers in Lincoln’s Inn. He was admitted to the German bar as a Rechtsanwalt between 2000 and 2014 and did much cross-border work. In 2014 he was appointed as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. After a brief period in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where he was admitted as an attorney in 2019, he was appointed as an acting Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, sitting in the Commercial Division in the British Virgin Islands until 2022. He has returned to England, where he sits as a recorder authorised to sit as a High Court judge.
