Ief Daems is Legal Director Competition Law for Cisco. He advises Cisco on EU and national competition law compliance, and supports the company’s global corporate development activities from an antitrust perspective. He is also engaged in policy advocacy, in the field of competition law and standardization. He previously worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Samsung Electronics, and as competition lawyer at the Brussels offices of Howrey and Shearman & Sterling. Ief holds a MSc in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh, and a Master of Law from the University of Leuven.
